Sodexo and GMC: Setting the Precedence in Patient Care

  • Aarogyum launched at the hands of Hon. Health Minister of Goa, Vishwajit P Rane.

Goa, 8th December 2023: Sodexo’s Health and Care wing introduces at Goa Medical College yet another innovative food solution, Aarogyum making strides in creating a marked differentiation in the patient nutrition space. It introduces healthy nutritious recipes integrating the goodness of millet. Coinciding with the launch of the Aarogyum-based menu, the Hon. Health Minister of Goa, Shri Vishwajit P Rane unveiled a cookbook which is a compilation of 25 recipes, curated by Sodexo in partnership with NGO, Sulabh International Centre for Action Sociology (SICAS) as a gesture to commemorate the International Year of Millets. Also, present at the launch were Dr Shivanand Bandekar, Dean of GMC, Dr Rajesh Patil, Medical Superintendent, Dr Uday Kakodkar, Nodal Officer, Super Speciality Block, GMC, and Sodexo leadership.

In addition to the progressive initiatives, we have undertaken in the scope of free IVF services, robotic surgery and setting up of gastroenterology institutes among others, this collaboration aims to enhance patient recovery and contribute to a healthier community,” said the Hon. Health Minister of Goa, Shri Vishwajit P Rane, as he inaugurated the transformative food program for patients, staff, and visitors.

The Sodexo team of dieticians, chefs and food handlers has been successfully serving at GMC with ~6000 nutritionally balanced and customised meals daily for five years in a row now.
